Within the next few weeks the Mathew Shepherd Hate Crimes Act will finally, after 10 years, come up for a vote in the Senate. The House already passed their version.
10 years is a long time to wait to have real justice for the beatings and murders committed against gays. But the nation is finally waking up from it's long embrace of fear, hate and trampling of rights.
